Former Chief Dennis Meeches served on Long Plain Council for 26 years. Under his leadership, LPFN has garnered national attention for its governance and corporate vision.
Dennis was instrumental in the government and economic growth of LPFN and the Arrowhead Development Corporation and Treaty One Nation. As the Treaty 1 Spoke-person, his priority was the creation of a joint reserve at Naawi-Oodena. (formerly known as Kapyong)
