Josh Alook is a dedicated and seasoned professional with a strong background in banking, lending, and investment analysis, specializing in services for Indigenous Governments, communities, and entrepreneurs. A proud member of the Bigstone Cree Nation, Josh deeply values his heritage and is honored to live on Treaty 6 territory and the ancestral homeland of the Métis in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where he resides with his wife. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, Josh has spent five fruitful years at the First Nations Bank of Canada, focusing on banking and lending services tailored to Indigenous Governments. His journey in finance and investment continued as he took on the role of an investment analyst/associate at Raven two years ago, where he has been making significant strides in Indigenous impact investing—a field he is deeply passionate about.

Before his foray into finance, Josh pursued three years of university education in mechanical engineering, which underscores his analytical prowess and problem-solving skills. His commitment to supporting Indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs through impact investment demonstrates his dedication to fostering sustainable growth and prosperity within the Indigenous innovation ecosystem. Outside of his professional pursuits, Josh has a rich background in sports. He is a former national-level swimmer and a senior hockey goalie, embodying discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Currently, Josh enjoys playing hockey and golfing in the off-season, activities that reflect his dynamic spirit and dedication to maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
