Lorrie is a proud Cree Iskwew and a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band with family connections in Pinehouse and Canoe Lake, SK. Lorrie’s tenacity, compassion and empathy allow her to connect with people from all walks of life and appreciates supporting entrepreneurs as it contributes to strengthening Indigenous communities and promotes autonomy and growth.

Lorrie’s interest in business operations began in 2012 when she pursued post-secondary studies in business. She has accumulated a strong background, from her time in various Indigenous organizations, in administrative operations, policy development, business development, Human Resources and OH&S, database development and maintenance, and workshop facilitation. She currently strives to advocate for Indigenous individuals and communities to reach their entrepreneurial goals, through her position as a Business Development Officer.

Lorrie encourages Indigenous individuals with entrepreneurial aspirations to reach out to her through SIEF. She can assess their current situation and assist them either through the grant application process, or by developing a plan of action, connecting them to various community services and resources within Saskatchewan’s entrepreneurial networks.
