Tiffany Eckert-Maret is a dedicated leader with a strong commitment to serving her community. In her role as Chief Operating Officer for Da Daghay Development Corporation, where she has worked for over five years, Tiffany has played a key role in driving economic development and creating opportunities within the community. Tiffany’s extensive experience in all departments of the corporation has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the organization's operations.
Tiffany also has a strong background in economic leadership, having served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Yukon First Nation Chamber of Commerce for three years. In April 2024, she was appointed President of the Chamber, where she continues to advocate for the economic reconciliaction and empowerment of Yukon First Nations, as outlined in Together Today for Our Children Tomorrow (TTFCT) Link to TTFCT. Tiffany is working on key points identified in TTFCT and is doing this through her roles as the President of the Yukon First Nation Teleco LP and Director of Sixty North Unity, involved in the largest communications transaction involving indigenous companies in Canada.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tiffany is deeply connected to her cultural heritage. Tiffany continues to honour her grandmothers and mothers’ legacy by continuing work on traditional beadwork, sewing, and baking, which are important aspects of her identity. As the grandchild of Elijah Smith, a pioneering leader in First Nation politics, Tiffany is committed to honoring his legacy and continuing his work in advocating for the rights and well-being of her people.
