With a degree in Economics from McGill University, she works at the intersection of mixed methodologies, economics, and intersectional social justice. Her dedication to Indigenous economic self-determination is reflected in her interdisciplinary research, which spans qualitative methodology, geomatics, computational linguistics, and human capital.

Strassmann is a member of the American Economics Association (AEA) and is affiliated with the Montreal Indigenous Community Network with a certificate from First Nations University. As the founder of Mindful Human Capital and Neurodivergent Upgrade, she crafts tools to bridge gaps in public policy, emphasizing inclusive and sustainable approaches to reconciliation.
