Glinis Buffalo is a proud member of Samson Cree Nation, Maskwacis, Treaty 6 Territory and owner of Glinis Buffalo Consulting (GBC). GBC elevates the professional planning industry by combining a deep understanding of Indigenous voices, processes, cultures and traditions with western worldviews to help Indigenous Peoples, government and industry reach their goals. Glinis provides traditional knowledge studies, regional and comprehensive community planning, Indigenous inclusion in rural and urban planning, strategic planning and facilitation.
Glinis has over 21 years of professional experience. Prior to starting her company, she has worked for First Nation provincial treaty organizations, provincial government, municipal government and the private sector and worked with all Treaty 6, 7 and 8 First Nations in Alberta.

Glinis is the first First Nations Woman to attain her Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation with the Alberta Professional Planners Institute and to become a registered Member with the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) designation.

Glinis is a Board of Director with the Pigeon Lake Watershed Organization and a member of the Pigeon Lake Watershed Alliance Land and Water Committee.
