Frank is a member of the Nisichawayasihk (Nee-chise-away-a-see) Cree Nation and grew up in Northern Manitoba. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Studies from the University of Manitoba, 5 certificates from the Canadian Securities Institute, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Finance from Harvard University.
Frank is extremely adept at building and maintaining relationships with Investors, Banks, Governments, and First Nations. He is renown for providing information and advice to First Nation Councils, Staff, Knowledge Keepers, and Membership, that increases awareness of access to the Capital Markets, Private Equity & Debt Financing, Investment Strategy, as well as Financial Education. He may be the first “Treaty-Status Indian” to run a Tier 1 Company.
Frank serves on a number of charitable, private and public boards and is passionate about board governance. He has served on the Board of Directors of three publicly traded companies, and as such is a registered “insider” on the Toronto Stock Exchanges (TSX). He shares his knowledge freely with Indigenous board members and trustees and can provide board governance training and corporate restructuring.
He is a Rotarian, and proudly serves as President of the West Kelowna Rotary Club. He is also a published Indigenous fiction author and past recipient of the Burt Award for First Nations, Metis and Inuit Literature for his novel “Grey Eyes”.
